Option payoffs refer to the financial outcomes of holding options contracts at expiration. For call options, the payoff is the difference between the asset’s market price and the strike price if positive, or zero if negative. For put options, the payoff is the difference between the strike price and the market price if positive, or zero if negative, representing the profit or loss incurred by the option holder.
